以賽亞書
上帝應許拯救他的子民
43:1 雅各啊，創造你的上主這樣說；
以色列啊，使你成形的上主這樣宣佈：
不要怕，我要保護你；
我指名呼喚你，你屬於我。
神應許拯救他的子民
43:1 雅各啊，創造你的耶和華，
以色列啊，造成你的那位，
現在如此說：
你不要害怕！因為我救贖了你。
我曾提你的名召你，你是屬我的。
43:1 But now thus saith the LORD that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine.
43:2 你臨深淵，我和你在一起；
你渡江河，河水不淹沒你。
你踏炭火，不被灼傷；
你陷在火燄裏，不受傷害。
43:2 你從水中經過，我必與你同在；
你𧼮過江河，水必不漫過你；
你從火中行過，必不被燒，
火焰也不着在你身上。
43:2 When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.
43:3 因為我是上主─你的上帝；
我是以色列神聖的上帝─你的救主。
我要拿埃及來贖回你的自由；
我要讓古實和西巴替你受苦。
43:3 因為我是耶和華－你的上帝，
是以色列的聖者－你的救主；
我已經使埃及作你的贖價，
使古實和西巴代替你。
43:3 For I am the LORD thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy Saviour: I gave Egypt for thy ransom, Ethiopia and Seba for thee.
43:4 在我眼中，你多麼寶貴；
我愛你，我看重你。
我寧願犧牲其他國家來拯救你，
犧牲別人來換你的生命。
43:4 因我看你為寶為尊；
又因我愛你，
所以我使人代替你，
使列邦人替換你的生命。
43:4 Since thou wast precious in my sight, thou hast been honourable, and I have loved thee: therefore will I give men for thee, and people for thy life. life: or, person
43:5 不要怕，因為我與你在一起！
從遙遠的東方、西方，
我要領你的同胞返回故鄉。
43:5 不要害怕，因我與你同在；
我必領你的後裔從東方來，
又從西方招聚你。
43:5 Fear not: for I am with thee: I will bring thy seed from the east, and gather thee from the west;
43:6 我要命令北方讓他們走；
我要指示南方別扣留他們。
讓我的子民從遙遠的地方，
從世界的各角落回歸故國。
43:6 我要對北方說，交出來！
對南方說，不要拘留！
將我的眾子從遠方帶來，
將我的眾女從地極領回，
43:6 I will say to the north, Give up; and to the south, Keep not back: bring my sons from far, and my daughters from the ends of the earth;
43:7 他們是我的子民，
我為了自己的榮耀造了他們。
43:7 就是凡稱為我名下的人，
是我為自己的榮耀創造的，
是我所做成，所造作的。
43:7 Even every one that is called by my name: for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him.
以色列是上主的證人
43:8 上帝說：
把我的子民傳到法庭來。
他們有眼睛，卻看不見；
他們有耳朵，卻不能聽。
以色列是耶和華的見證人
43:8 你要將有眼而瞎、
有耳而聾的民都帶出來！
43:8 Bring forth the blind people that have eyes, and the deaf that have ears.
43:9 把萬國萬民都傳到法庭來。
哪一國的神明能預測將來？
哪一個能預言將要發生的事？
叫那些神明帶他們的證人來，
證明他們沒有錯誤，
證實他們的話可靠。
43:9 任憑萬國聚集；
任憑眾民會合。
其中誰能將此聲明，
並將先前的事說給我們聽呢？
他們可以帶出見證來，自顯為是；
或者他們聽見便說：這是真的。
43:9 Let all the nations be gathered together, and let the people be assembled: who among them can declare this, and shew us former things? let them bring forth their witnesses, that they may be justified: or let them hear, and say, It is truth.
43:10 以色列人哪，你們是我的證人；
我選你們作我的僕人，
要使你們認識我，相信我，
知道我是惟一的上帝。
除了我，沒有別的上帝；
過去沒有，將來也不會有。
43:10 耶和華說：你們是我的見證，
我所揀選的僕人。
既是這樣，便可以知道，且信服我，
又明白我就是耶和華。
在我以前沒有真神；
在我以後也必沒有。
43:10 Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me. no...: or, nothing formed of God
43:11 惟有我是上主；
惟有我是你們的救主。
43:11 惟有我是耶和華；
除我以外沒有救主。
43:11 I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour.
43:12 我向你們宣告將要發生的事；
我來幫助你們。
沒有一國的神明做過這樣的事；
你們是我的證人。
43:12 我曾指示，我曾拯救，我曾說明，
並且在你們中間沒有別神。
所以耶和華說：
你們是我的見證。
我也是上帝；
43:12 I have declared, and have saved, and I have shewed, when there was no strange god among you: therefore ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, that I am God.
43:13 我是上帝，永遠是上帝。
沒有人能逃脫我的掌握；
沒有人能改變我的作為。
43:13 自從有日子以來，我就是上帝；
誰也不能救人脫離我手。
我要行事誰能阻止呢？
43:13 Yea, before the day was I am he; and there is none that can deliver out of my hand: I will work, and who shall let it? let it: Heb. turn it back?
從巴比倫逃脫
43:14 以色列神聖的上帝，你們的救贖者這樣說：
為了要救你們，我將差遣軍隊攻打巴比倫；
我要攻破它的城門；
巴比倫人民的歡呼要變為哀哭。
逃離巴比倫
43:14 耶和華－你們的救贖主、
以色列的聖者如此說：
因你們的緣故，
我已經打發人到巴比倫去；
並且我要使迦勒底人如逃民，
都坐自己喜樂的船下來。
43:14 Thus saith the LORD, your redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; For your sake I have sent to Babylon, and have brought down all their nobles, and the Chaldeans, whose cry is in the ships. nobles: Heb. bars
43:15 我是上主─你們神聖的上帝，
是以色列的創造者─你們的君王。
43:15 我是耶和華－你們的聖者，
是創造以色列的，是你們的君王。
43:15 I am the LORD, your Holy One, the creator of Israel, your King.
43:16 古時候，上主在海洋中開闢一條通路，
在浪濤中造了一條大道。
43:16 耶和華在滄海中開道，
在大水中開路，
43:16 Thus saith the LORD, which maketh a way in the sea, and a path in the mighty waters;
43:17 他使一支強大的軍隊─
戰車和戰馬都毀滅了。
他們完全崩潰，再也站不起來；
他們被殲滅，像燈心被剪斷。
43:17 使車輛、馬匹、軍兵、勇士都出來，
一同躺下，不再起來；
他們滅沒，好像熄滅的燈火。
43:17 Which bringeth forth the chariot and horse, the army and the power; they shall lie down together, they shall not rise: they are extinct, they are quenched as tow.
43:18 但是上主說：
不要老記著往事；
不要沉湎在回憶中。
43:18 耶和華如此說：
你們不要記念從前的事，
也不要思想古時的事。
43:18 Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old.
43:19 看哪，我要有新的作為，
事情已經發生，你們看得見！
我要在荒野中開闢通路，
在沙漠裏挖掘河流。
43:19 看哪，我要做一件新事；
如今要發現，你們豈不知道嗎？
我必在曠野開道路，
在沙漠開江河。
43:19 Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.
43:20 連野獸也要敬重我，
野狗和鴕鳥都頌讚我；
因為我在沙漠安置河流，
在曠野開闢水源，
使我揀選的子民有水喝。
43:20 野地的走獸必尊重我；
野狗和鴕鳥也必如此。
因我使曠野有水，
使沙漠有河，
好賜給我的百姓、我的選民喝。
43:20 The beast of the field shall honour me, the dragons and the owls: because I give waters in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert, to give drink to my people, my chosen. owls: or, ostriches: Heb. daughters of the owl
43:21 他們是我為自己造的子民；
他們要向我唱讚美的詩歌。
43:21 這百姓是我為自己所造的，
好述說我的美德。
43:21 This people have I formed for myself; they shall shew forth my praise.
以色列的罪
43:22 上主說：
但是雅各啊，你沒有敬拜我；
以色列啊，你竟厭棄我。
以色列人的罪惡
43:22 雅各啊，你並沒有求告我；
以色列啊，你倒厭煩我。
43:22 But thou hast not called upon me, O Jacob; but thou hast been weary of me, O Israel.
43:23 你沒有向我獻燒化祭的羊，
也沒有獻牲祭尊敬我。
我沒有要求祭物，增加你的負擔，
也沒有要求貢香，使你無從應付。
43:23 你沒有將你的羊帶來給我作燔祭，
也沒有用祭物尊敬我；
我沒有因供物使你服勞，
也沒有因乳香使你厭煩。
43:23 Thou hast not brought me the small cattle of thy burnt offerings; neither hast thou honoured me with thy sacrifices. I have not caused thee to serve with an offering, nor wearied thee with incense. small...: Heb. lambs, or, kids
43:24 你並沒有為我買貢香，
也沒有向我獻牲祭的脂肪。
相反地，你的罪惡成了我的負擔；
你的過犯使我勞累不堪。
43:24 你沒有用銀子為我買菖蒲，
也沒有用祭物的脂油使我飽足；
倒使我因你的罪惡服勞，
使我因你的罪孽厭煩。
43:24 Thou hast bought me no sweet cane with money, neither hast thou filled me with the fat of thy sacrifices: but thou hast made me to serve with thy sins, thou hast wearied me with thine iniquities. filled...: Heb. made me drunk, or, abundantly moistened
43:25 但是，我是惟一的上帝。
我饒恕你的罪過；
我不因你的罪孽向你報復。
43:25 惟有我為自己的緣故塗抹你的過犯；
我也不記念你的罪惡。
43:25 I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins.
43:26 讓我們同上法庭，你可以控訴；
你儘管提出案情，證明你有理。
43:26 你要提醒我，你我可以一同辯論；
你可以將(你的理)陳明，自顯為義。
43:26 Put me in remembrance: let us plead together: declare thou, that thou mayest be justified.
43:27 你的祖宗( 「你的祖宗」：可能指雅各、亞伯拉罕，或亞當。)犯了罪，
你的領袖背叛了我；
43:27 你的始祖犯罪；
你的師傅違背我。
43:27 Thy first father hath sinned, and thy teachers have transgressed against me. teachers: Heb. interpreters
43:28 你的官長污染了我的聖所( 「你……聖所」：希伯來文是「我玷污了我聖殿的領袖」。)。
因此，我要徹底毀滅以色列；
我要使雅各受凌辱。
43:28 所以，我要辱沒聖所的首領，
使雅各成為咒詛，
使以色列成為辱罵。
43:28 Therefore I have profaned the princes of the sanctuary, and have given Jacob to the curse, and Israel to reproaches. princes...: or, holy princes
