巴比倫神明的末日到了！
彼勒和尼波曾受人的膜拜，
現在都馱在驢背上，
成為勞累牲畜的重擔。
彼勒屈身，尼波彎腰；
巴比倫的偶像馱在獸和牲畜上。
他們所抬的如今成了重馱，
使(牲畜)疲乏，
Bel boweth down, Nebo stoopeth, their idols were upon the beasts, and upon the cattle: your carriages were heavy loaden; they are a burden to the weary beast .
2 偶像不能自救；
它們成為戰利品，給帶走了。
這是巴比倫神明的末日。
2 都一同彎腰屈身，
不能保全重馱，
自己倒被擄去。
2 They stoop, they bow down together; they could not deliver the burden, but themselves are gone into captivity. themselves: Heb. their soul
3 雅各的子孫哪，要聽我的話；
殘存的以色列人哪，都要聽。
你們一出生，一出母胎，
我就關心你們。
3 雅各家，以色列家一切餘剩的要聽我言：
你們自從生下，就蒙(我)保抱，
自從出胎，便蒙(我)懷搋。
3 Hearken unto me, O house of Jacob, and all the remnant of the house of Israel, which are borne by me from the belly, which are carried from the womb:
4 我是你們的上帝，我要看顧你們，
直到你們頭髮斑白的時候。
我造了你們，也要養活你們；
我要幫助你們，拯救你們。
4 直到你們年老，我仍這樣；
直到你們髮白，我仍懷搋。
我已造作，也必保抱；
我必懷抱，也必拯救。
4 And even to your old age I am he; and even to hoar hairs will I carry you : I have made, and I will bear; even I will carry, and will deliver you .
5 上主說：你們要把我跟誰相比呢？
天下有像我的嗎？
5 你們將誰與我相比，與我同等，
可以與我比較，使我們相同呢？
5 To whom will ye liken me, and make me equal, and compare me, that we may be like?
6 有人打開皮包，拿出一點金子，
又在天平上秤一些銀子；
他們雇用金匠鑄造一尊偶像，
然後躬身向它下拜。
6 那從囊中抓金子，
用天平平銀子的人，
雇銀匠製造神像，
他們又俯伏，又叩拜。
6 They lavish gold out of the bag, and weigh silver in the balance, and hire a goldsmith; and he maketh it a god: they fall down, yea, they worship.
7 他們把它抬起來，扛在肩上，
安置它，讓它站在那裏，
它就再也不能動彈。
有人向它祈禱，它不能回答；
它也不能救人脫離苦難。
7 他們將神像抬起，扛在肩上，
安置在定處，它就站立，
不離本位；
人呼求它，它不能答應，
也不能救人脫離患難。
7 They bear him upon the shoulder, they carry him, and set him in his place, and he standeth; from his place shall he not remove: yea, one shall cry unto him, yet can he not answer, nor save him out of his trouble.
8 有罪的人哪，要記住，
你們要想一想我所做的一切。
8 你們當想念這事，自己作大丈夫。
悖逆的人哪，要心裏思想。
8 Remember this, and shew yourselves men: bring it again to mind, O ye transgressors.
9 要記住從前發生的事；
我是上帝，沒有別的；
我是上帝，沒有別的可以跟我相比。
9 你們要追念上古的事。
因為我是上帝，並無別神；
(我是)上帝，再沒有能比我的。
9 Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me,
10 從起初我就預言終局；
我早就宣佈將來要發生的事。
我說，我絕對不改變計劃；
我的旨意，我一定實現。
10 我從起初指明末後的事，
從古時言明未成的事，
說：我的籌算必立定；
凡我所喜悅的，我必成就。
10 Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:
11 我要從東方召來一人；
他要像老鷹俯衝下來，
完成我的計劃。
我已經這樣宣佈，我一定實現。
11 我召鷙鳥從東方來，
召那成就我籌算的人從遠方來。
我已說出，也必成就；
我已謀定，也必做成。
11 Calling a ravenous bird from the east, the man that executeth my counsel from a far country: yea, I have spoken it , I will also bring it to pass; I have purposed it , I will also do it. that...: Heb. of my counsel
12 聽我吧，頑固的人，
你們還以為勝利遙遙無期；
12 你們這些心中頑梗、
遠離公義的，當聽我言。
12 Hearken unto me, ye stouthearted, that are far from righteousness:
13 我要親自把勝利帶來，
那日子不遠了。
我一定不耽誤勝利的來到。
我要拯救耶路撒冷，
使以色列得榮耀。
13 我使我的公義臨近，必不遠離。
我的救恩必不遲延；
我要為以色列－我的榮耀，
在錫安施行救恩。
13 I bring near my righteousness; it shall not be far off, and my salvation shall not tarry: and I will place salvation in Zion for Israel my glory.
