42:1 | 上主的僕人 上主說: 看哪,我的僕人,我扶持他; 我揀選他,喜愛他。 我以我的靈充滿他; 他要為萬國帶來正義。 | 耶和華的僕人 看哪,我的僕人- 我所扶持所揀選、心裏所喜悅的! 我已將我的靈賜給他; 他必將公理傳給外邦。 | Behold my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect, in whom my soul delighteth; I have put my spirit upon him: he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles. |
42:2 | 他不喊叫,也不喧嚷;
他不在大街上大聲宣講。 | 他不喧嚷,不揚聲,
也不使街上聽見他的聲音。 | He shall not cry, nor lift up, nor cause his voice to be heard in the street. |
42:3 | 壓傷的蘆葦,他不折斷;
將熄的燈火,他不吹滅。 他要給人類帶來持久的正義。 | 壓傷的蘆葦,他不折斷;

42:4 | 他不失望也不沮喪;
他要在地上伸張正義; 群島的人仰望他的法則。 | 他不灰心,也不喪膽,

42:5 | 上帝創造諸天,伸展天空;

將地和地所出的一併鋪開, 賜氣息給地上的眾人, 又賜靈性給行在其上之人的上帝耶和華, 他如此說: | Thus saith God the LORD, he that created the heavens, and stretched them out; he that spread forth the earth, and that which cometh out of it; he that giveth breath unto the people upon it, and spirit to them that walk therein: |
42:6 | 我─上主呼召你,賜力量給你,
使你在世上主持公道。 我要藉著你跟世人立約; 我要使你成為萬國之光。 | 我-耶和華憑公義召你,
必攙扶你的手,保守你, 使你作眾民的中保, 作外邦人的光, | I the LORD have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles; |
42:7 | 你將開盲人的眼睛,
領被囚的人出監獄, 使黑牢中的人得見光明。 | 開瞎子的眼,
領被囚的出牢獄, 領坐黑暗的出監牢。 | To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house. |
42:8 | 我是上主;耶和華是我的名。
我不讓其他神明共享我的榮耀, 也不許任何偶像同受讚美。 | 我是耶和華,這是我的名;
我必不將我的榮耀歸給假神, 也不將我的稱讚歸給雕刻的偶像。 | I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images. |
42:9 | 我所預言的事已經實現。
現在我要告訴你們一些新事, 在事發生之前先告訴你們。 | 看哪,先前的事已經成就,
現在我將新事說明, 這事未發以先,我就說給你們聽。 | Behold, the former things are come to pass, and new things do I declare: before they spring forth I tell you of them. |

42:11 | 沙漠和其中的城市都要高聲歌唱;
基達的居民要讚美他; 住在西拉的人都要歡呼, 從山頂上揚聲。 | 曠野和其中的城邑,

42:12 | 海島的人民都要榮耀上主;

42:13 | 上主如同勇士上陣打仗;

42:15 | 我要毀滅大小山岡,
使草木枯乾。 我要使河流變為沙漠( 「沙漠」:希伯來文是「海島」。), 使水池乾涸。 | 我要使大山小岡變為荒場,
使其上的花草都枯乾; 我要使江河變為洲島, 使水池都乾涸。 | I will make waste mountains and hills, and dry up all their herbs; and I will make the rivers islands, and I will dry up the pools. |
42:16 | 我要領瞎眼的子民上路,
走上陌生的道路; 我要使他們的黑暗變為光明, 使崎嶇小路變成康莊大道。 我要實現這事,絕不失信。 | 我要引瞎子行不認識的道,

42:17 | 那些相信假神的人一定敗退;
倚賴偶像的人一定蒙羞。 | 倚靠雕刻的偶像,
對鑄造的偶像說: 你是我們的神; 這等人要退後,全然蒙羞。 | They shall be turned back, they shall be greatly ashamed, that trust in graven images, that say to the molten images, Ye are our gods. |
42:18 | 以色列不受教益 上主說: 耳聾的人哪,聽吧! 瞎眼的人哪,看吧! | 以色列人不受教益 你們這耳聾的,聽吧! 你們這眼瞎的,看吧! 使你們能看見。 | Hear, ye deaf; and look, ye blind, that ye may see. |
42:19 | 世上有誰比我的僕人更盲目?
有誰比我差遣的使者更耳聾? | 誰比我的僕人眼瞎呢?
誰比我差遣的使者耳聾呢? 誰瞎眼像那(與我)和好的? 誰瞎眼像耶和華的僕人呢? | Who is blind, but my servant? or deaf, as my messenger that I sent? who is blind as he that is perfect, and blind as the LORD'S servant? |
42:20 | 以色列啊,你看了許多,卻沒有心得;
你聽了許多,卻沒有領悟。 | 你看見許多事卻不領會,
耳朵開通卻不聽見。 | Seeing many things, but thou observest not; opening the ears, but he heareth not. |
42:21 | 上主一心要伸張正義;
要使法律發揚光大。 | 耶和華因自己公義的緣故,
喜歡使律法為大,為尊。 | The LORD is well pleased for his righteousness' sake; he will magnify the law, and make it honourable. it: or, him |
42:22 | 然而,他的子民受欺壓;
他們被關在地牢裏, 被囚禁在監獄中。 他們被搶劫,遭蹂躪, 沒有人來搭救他們。 | 但這百姓是被搶被奪的,
都牢籠在坑中,隱藏在獄裏; 他們作掠物,無人拯救, 作擄物,無人說交還。 | But this is a people robbed and spoiled; they are all of them snared in holes, and they are hid in prison houses: they are for a prey, and none delivereth; for a spoil, and none saith, Restore. they are all...: or, in snaring all the young men of them for a spoil: Heb. a treading |
42:23 | 你們當中有人要聽這話嗎?
從今以後要留心聽嗎? | 你們中間誰肯側耳聽此,
誰肯留心而聽,以防將來呢? | Who among you will give ear to this? who will hearken and hear for the time to come? for...: Heb. for the after time? |
42:24 | 是誰把以色列交給侵略者?
是誰把雅各交給掠奪者? 是上主自己,因為我們都得罪了他。 我們的行為不合他的標準; 我們沒有遵守他的法律。 | 誰將雅各交出當作擄物,
將以色列交給搶奪的呢? 豈不是耶和華嗎? 就是我們所得罪的那位。 他們不肯遵行他的道, 也不聽從他的訓誨。 | Who gave Jacob for a spoil, and Israel to the robbers? did not the LORD, he against whom we have sinned? for they would not walk in his ways, neither were they obedient unto his law. |
42:25 | 因此,他向我們發烈怒,
使我們遭受戰爭的痛苦。 烽火困住我們,我們依舊沒有學到教訓; 烈燄焚燒我們,我們仍然麻木不仁。 | 所以,他將猛烈的怒氣和爭戰的勇力
傾倒在以色列的身上。 在他四圍如火着起,他還不知道, 燒着他,他也不介意。 | Therefore he hath poured upon him the fury of his anger, and the strength of battle: and it hath set him on fire round about, yet he knew not; and it burned him, yet he laid it not to heart. |
